The Father has a purpose for whatever you are experiencing…

Repost from InTouch Ministries Facebook page:

The Father has a purpose for whatever you are experiencing. The God who has numbered every hair on your head is intimately involved with the details of your life–even your emotions–and He cares for you deeply (Matt. 10:29-31). He understands the wounds you’ve sustained and how profoundly they have affected you. He knows the feelings you’ve struggled to overcome. And He also knows how to make all of it a beautiful testimony of His grace in your life (Isa. 61:3)!

Thoughts About Salvation

Been thinking this since yesterday after attending the Sunday service.   Most of us know (maybe) that salvation is a gift of God the moment that we accept Him on our lives.  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. – Ephesians 2:8-9

But what’s next? What is the right response after accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior?

I guess, that the best way to live this life after we “genuinely” accept Jesus Christ is to use the Bible as our daily guide and basis of our lifestyle.  No buts, no ifs and whatever the bible says is final.

Pastors, church leaders, small group leaders etc… can only remind us,  pray for us, support us – but your relationship with Jesus Christ will forever stay unique between You and Him.  No copy paste because His plan for you, is only for you.  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11

I am not exempted here and please don’t just follow my advise.  Talk to Him.

God’s Purpose for Adversity

I found this old devotional from InTouch Ministries while reviewing my inbox.  This is really very interesting topic and I encourage you to read it.

——–

Have you ever wondered why the Lord allows tragedy, sickness, and other suffering in our lives? Part of the answer lies in the fact that we inhabit a fallen world; the sin of Adam and Eve altered God’s original creation. However, the good news is that God uses adversity to show us our profound need for Him.

The Old Testament saint Jacob experienced something that forever changed how he related to God. The Lord weakened him physically to strengthen him spiritually. In a similar way, God wants to use adversity in our lives to draw us into a closer relationship with Him.

You talk to me again.

Almost the entire day today, I’m practicing in my head, how I will approach this person (rudely) when the day comes that I really need to engage with him. While doing quiet time, I still have these thoughts in my head and I’m almost distracted and I’m just trying to ignore and continue reading verses.  I have several, as I wasn’t able to update my blog for a month due to busy schedules.

I’m almost done with my list when I read this passage…1 Thessalonians 5:15 and it says…
“Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.”

Its just “BOOM”!!! and I shut-up. Sad to say, but even if I’m a Christian for a long time I still tend to forget this.  But God is good and He knows that the only words that will shut my wrong thoughts is HIS.

Aside from this reminder, He also revealed vividly the answer to my question asked by our Pastor before which I already forgot; Do you know the will of God for you?  Honestly, I will only reply with Jeremiah 29:11 which is my favorite verse but today is different.

And here’s His answer…

1 Thessalonians 5…”16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

I cannot contain this feeling and I hope you don’t mind if I share this with you.
I’m crying while writing this message as I’m very very happy that I was able to hear Him again.
