For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. — Hebrews 13:16 (NIV)

And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The distance doesn’t really matter…
when the hearts are close.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord,
for He is good!
Psalm 118:29 TLB
I would say that looking for a new church in a new place is really a difficult task. It’s like transferring to another school and trying to learn the culture and of course the people.
However, I realize that sometimes no matter what kind of church you found (of course, I’m talking about God’s church not other thing) there’s really no perfect one. Our Ptr. Sonny joke on this one-time and he said that in case you found a perfect church, it will no longer be perfect once you’re there. I think that’s very true.
But what do really matters to you? For me its the Word of God. Although, there’s argument on the teaching but we ALWAYS need to become like the Bereans for they always check and validate Paul’s teaching.
11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. –Acts 17:11
So at the end, just pray and ask God’s help and He will always find the right way.
It is very difficult if you are disappointed. Sometimes you just simply want to get even. However, you want to obey God but again you are hurt. You want to explode, you want to kick the person, you want to disrespect, you want to punch him and many other things.
I guess a strong heart is not enough to absorb the pain because at the end. We must and should desire Christ likeness in our lives.
I found this article by Precepts for Life (Give Thanks In the Midst of Disappointment by Kay Arthur). A very good find and I hope that this will encourage you to trust God more in times of disappointment.
Honor is a trait not born in a man,
but earned by him-
through self-sacrifice and full commitment
to the purpose God has for His life.
You’re a great father-
a man of honor
who has earned my admiration.
Happy Father’s Day
He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness and honor. Proverbs 21:21
