Colossians 4:6

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Colossians 4:6

Ephesians 4:29

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Ephesians 4:29 (NIV)

Sense of Entitlement

At some point we think that we are entitled to say whatever we want, demand respect, ask special favor or worst we belittle someone.  Sometimes it’s also tempting to use this power because we think that we are above the rest, we are better or we are in the position.  I’m not excluded.  I believe that we need to ask God to always guard our hearts as we move up on our careers or as we improve our life.  He is entitled in everything but still gave His life for all of us.

Be completely humble and gentle…

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.  —Ephesians 4:2-6 (NIV)
