Who Is This Jesus?

13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”

14 “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.”

15 Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Matthew 16:13-16 (NLT)

Romans 1:14-15

14 For I have a great sense of obligation to people in both the civilized world and the rest of the world, to the educated and uneducated alike. 15 So I am eager to come to you in Rome, too, to preach the Good News.  (NLT)

You talk to me again.

Almost the entire day today, I’m practicing in my head, how I will approach this person (rudely) when the day comes that I really need to engage with him. While doing quiet time, I still have these thoughts in my head and I’m almost distracted and I’m just trying to ignore and continue reading verses.  I have several, as I wasn’t able to update my blog for a month due to busy schedules.

I’m almost done with my list when I read this passage…1 Thessalonians 5:15 and it says…
“Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.”

Its just “BOOM”!!! and I shut-up. Sad to say, but even if I’m a Christian for a long time I still tend to forget this.  But God is good and He knows that the only words that will shut my wrong thoughts is HIS.

Aside from this reminder, He also revealed vividly the answer to my question asked by our Pastor before which I already forgot; Do you know the will of God for you?  Honestly, I will only reply with Jeremiah 29:11 which is my favorite verse but today is different.

And here’s His answer…

1 Thessalonians 5…”16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

I cannot contain this feeling and I hope you don’t mind if I share this with you.
I’m crying while writing this message as I’m very very happy that I was able to hear Him again.

God’s Perfect Gift

Little baby on the hay,
soon there’ll be another day
when nails shall pierce
Your hands and feet
as You provide our sin’s defeat.

Risen Jesus on the throne,
we lift our praise to You alone-
for You’re the gift that we receive
the moment that our hearts believe.

Thank God for this gift, His gift. No language can praise it enough!
